IHMM Professional Textbook Committee

Charter: The committee is responsible for the IHMM Hazardous Materials Management textbook and CHMM and CHMP examination prep courses. The committee is responsible for updating the 2015 IHMM text on continuous 5-year cycles and issuing annual amendments to the textbook. This committee is also responsible for creating an IHMM examination prep course for the CHMM, deployed and updated in a manner consistent with changes in blueprints, government regulations, and other matters significant to the CHMM exam. Once created the examination prep course is offered through HMS and may be developed in concert with outside experts in course preparation delivery, such as Columbia Southern University. This project may also have jurisdiction over developing a CHMP examination preparatory course as well.

IHMM Scheme Committees develop credentials, blueprints for the credentials that lead to examinations arising from the blueprints. IHMM Operations Committees are strictly separate from Scheme Committees, taking the IHMM blueprints and developing the textbooks arising from the blueprints as well as then overseeing the development of preparatory courses tied to the blueprints and textbooks.
