What or who motivated you to earn an IHMM credential?
Throughout my career in environmental health and safety, I’ve been driven by a passion for keeping people and the environment safe by ensuring safe operations and protecting communities and the environment. I was inspired by mentors and leaders in the field whose work showed me how expert oversight can prevent accidents, ensure compliance, and improve safety culture.
Earning the IHMM CHMM credential has allowed me to formalize my expertise, gain international recognition, and contribute at a higher level to advancing safety standards. It’s not just a personal achievement – it’s a platform for making a real difference in the field, nationally and globally.
Are there any opportunities you’re looking forward to as a result of earning an IHMM credential?
The CHMM credential opens doors to lead meaningful projects, advise organizations on best practices, and help shape safety policies. It also gives me a chance to mentor emerging professionals and bring new ideas to improve the workplace and environmental safety.
I’m excited to use this credential to make tangible, positive impacts on communities and the environment, work that requires specialized expertise and recognized leadership.
