What or who motivated you to earn an IHMM credential?
I was motivated by my mentors at work to pursue a credential. They emphasized the importance of professional certifications and recommended the CHMM. The IHMM credentials in particular carry a weight to them that regulators and industry professionals respect.
Are there any opportunities you’re looking forward to as a result of earning an IHMM credential?
I’m really excited to lean into the experience of being a distinguished professional in the field. I have found that my expectations of myself have increased significantly now that I carry an IHMM credential. I’m looking forward to serving as a subject matter expert in my company, leading projects with greater confidence in my knowledge and abilities, and working to make sure I can represent IHMM in the best way possible.
What would you say to someone who is considering earning an IHMM credential?
Go for it! As I reviewed for the exam, I validated my existing knowledge and then expanded upon it, well beyond the scope of my job function. Passing the exam was one of the most challenging yet validating experiences of my career. For me, obtaining the CHMM credential represents a continuation of my commitment to continuous learning and professional development, something we should all strive towards.
