On Monday, October 3, 2022, the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management will begin its 2022 elections for the IHMM Board of Directors for 3 seats with service beginning January 1, 2023. IHMM’s Nominating Committee began soliciting candidates for three seats on March 8, 2022, and continued in every Tuesday edition of IHMM Today through June 28, 2022. The three seats up for election in 2022 are [1] seat for a CDGP, [1] seat for a CSHM, and [1] seat for At-Large, which can come from a CHMM, CDGP, CHMP, CSHM, or CSMP.

The IHMM Nominating Committee received nomination forms and associated material and reviewed, vetted, and interviewed candidates in the months of July and August 2022. The committee sent its proposed slate to the IHMM Board of Directors for its review at its September 18, 2022 meeting and now we present that slate to IHMM certificants who are eligible to vote in the 2022 elections. We thank Heather Waldmann, CHMM, and the entire IHMM Nominating Committee for their outstanding work this year.

IHMM uses secure software from Election Buddy, where each eligible voter is assigned a unique voting key that may only be used once. When eligible certificants receive their email from Election Buddy this slate will be presented with a request that you vote for [1] one candidate in each of the [3] three sections. Vote for 1 CDGP, vote for 1 CSHM, and vote for 1 At-Large.

The election will run from Monday, October 3, 2022, through Friday, November 4, 2022.
